Christmas Wishes

Dear Santa (or whoever is reading this),

Here are a few things I've got my eye on.  I've been really good this year!

First for the kitchen...
A Keurig Special Edition B60 Coffee Maker

... and a "I am not a paper cup..." or two to go with it!

Stackable mixing and measuring bowls.  For the girl with no storage space...

A Kitchenaid mixer in the 90th anniversary edition style...

... or in light blue to match our current kitchen...

... or in this beautiful neutral silver!

Next, for my productivity...
 An iPad... because why not?

Next, for CB...
These Quilted Echo Driver Gloves!  The fingertip will work with the touchscreen on my new iPad.  (Thanks, Christine, for introducing me to these!)

Lastly, for all my clothes and shoes that will not fit in the closets I have now...
The adorable house in Florence Park with a new kitchen and lots of space.

Thanks, Santa!  (I'll leave extra cookies out this year if you promise to throw in that last item.)

Big XII Championship By the Numbers

867: Number of times we listened to this song

233: Number of times "Rayn Broyles... Hellova player!" was said

96: Dollars spent at the bar in the club level

51: Number of years my mom celebrated without me on Saturday night.  (I got her a Sooner victory though.)

30:  Number of tortillas from Taco Cabana consumed after the game

16: Number of tackles for a loss for the Oklahoma defense including 7 sacks

7: Big XII Championships for Bob Stoops and the Sooners

4:  Number of turnovers by Martinez, 3 of which were recovered by T. Lewis

1: Oklahoma

Happy birthday to you!

Happy birthday, Miss Kellie Schulte!  Thanks for everything!

We've now been friends for 20 years!  I look forward to at least 20 more.  Love you, girl!  Have a GREAT birthday.

SFP: Stoops For President

... of the Big XII, that is.  Because he runs it.

On this holiest eve of the Big 12 Championship Game, I rename my blog in honor of him.  I don't have much to give, but what I have, I will.  Here is a look back at the seven previous appearances he's made in (as Rodine refers to it) "The Big Tweezy".

2. 2002:  H-Town Beat Down.

OU 29 Colorado 7.  What a great experience for my first ever Big 12 Championship Game!

2003:  Cold as Ice.
Several unfortunate things happened this night.  1) We lost to K-State.  2) We were in Kansas City.  3)  Someone asked if Dad was my date.  The only reason I even mention this game is because we won a Heisman Trophy and earned a spot in the BCS National Championship Game in spite of it.

2004:  Stomped the Buffalo
AD averaged more than 6 yards per carry.

The OU D allowed only 46 yards, and CU had only three first downs on the game.

Back to South Beach we went!

2006:  Our Red is Bigger than Yours

2007:  Watch Party

The celebration begins.

Santa was a Sooner that night!

We had a great time, but it would have been great to be there.

2008: Three-peat (See how we got there.)

I'm so glad that the game this weekend isn't in the arctic KC, but I am going to miss The Peanut!  It became a pre-Big 12-game tradition.

Probably the coldest day in the history of the universe.

We had to stay warm somehow.

And back to Miami we went.

Thanks for everything, President Stoops.  We look forward to more conference domination to come.  BEAT NEBRASKA!

Throwback Thursday

10 years ago today...

More to come...

You'll shoot your eye out!

A few snippets of Christmas time on Knoxville...

This is the last year for the baby tree.

This is one of two Christmas decorations that my Dad put up in our house when I was growing up.  (The other one is a plaque that says, "Scrooge Lives Here."  It spoke the truth.)

The other OU tree

I love the holidays!
